ShellDOS is hosted on two repositories simultaneously: GitHub and GitLab. The specific characteristics of these two project download locations are outlined below.

GitHub is the primary repository for ShellDOS; consequently, it’s the repository where changes, improvements and new features for this project under development are uploaded first.

On GitHub, you will find the project files organized into folders, all ready for compilation using OpenWatcom. However, the repository does not distribute any executables, as explained in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section. You can only download the project in zip format, unzip and start to work.

Gitlab

GitLab is the second repository where the ShellDOS project has been uploaded. GitLab functions in practically the same way as GitHub (you can even use GitHub Desktop to upload files to this repository).

The project files are the same as those found on GitHub; you simply need to download the files in zip, tar.gz, tar.bz2, or tar format, as this repository offers a wider range of download options and done, to work!.
